A L'école: Lake Washington High School
LWHS students learn about the academic and professional prospects of pursuing higher education in France.
Thanks to coordination efforts by Alexandra Baldwin, former staff of the FACC-PNW and member of the FEN Board, French teachers from Lake Washington High School (LWHS) requested a presentation on the academic and professional prospects of pursuing higher education in France. Pierric Reynaud, our French Trade and Events Assistant, developed an interactive PowerPoint to share these prospects with their students.
On November 1, 2019, Pierric took the bus to LWHS where he spent the day presenting in a combination of English and in French. He presented for a total of 7 hours, reaching six different groups of students with various levels of French knowledge. Following the presentations, students were able to ask Pierric questions about France and French culture, as well as about the education system from his home country.
"Overall, the groups were attentive and participating and many students came up with diverse questions, some of them seemingly considering to study in French universities." - Pierric, commenting on the experience
